Abbott wins gold, makes Olympic team

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeremy Abbott won his fourth men's title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships on Sunday and was named to the Olympic team again.

After setting a U.S. record for points in the men's short program Friday night, Abbott earned 174.41 points in the free skate.

Abbott, who finished ninth at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics behind gold medalist teammate Evan Lysacek, posted a total score of 274.27 points.

Jason Brown finished second with a score of 270.08 and was also named to the U.S. men's team. Max Aaron finished third with a score of 260.44 and will be the first alternate for next month's Sochi Olympics.
