Arcadia, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - A foot injury forced 3-year-old gelding Shared Belief from his scheduled workout Sunday at Santa Anita.

"An abscess busted out on his right front foot," Dan Ward, assistant to trainer Jerry Hollendorfer said. "As soon as the area is dry, when he's 100 percent, we'll work him."

Shared Belief won the CashCall Futurity on Dec. 14 at Hollywood Park by 5 3/4 lengths and is set to make his 2014 debut in the Robert B. Lewis Stakes at Santa Anita Feb. 8.

"The Lewis is four weeks away. We should be fine," Ward observed.

The gelding, co-owned by Hollendorfer, is perfect in his first three career starts for $451,200.
