NC State researcher helps find way to make solar panels more efficient

Researchers from N.C. State University and the Chinese Academy of Sciences have developed a way to dramatically improve the efficiency of solar cells.

A new method of tweaking the molecular structure of a polymer commonly used in solar cells may boost efficiency by as much as 30 percent.

Wei Ma, a post-doctoral physics researcher from N.C. State helped conduct and author a paper on the research.
