Morrisville contract manufacturer Anuva buys IES from PowerSecure International

Posted by John Murawski on January 13, 2014

Anuva Serivces, a Morrisville contract manufacturing business, has acquired the assets of Innovative Electronic Solutions Lighting, a unit of PowerSecure International, the fast-growing energy services company in Wake Forest.

PowerSecure’s sale of its IES manufacturing equipment and parts inventory will also involve the transfer of about two dozen employees to Anuva, giving the 6-year-old company a total of 60 employees. The financial terms of the deal, which was announced last week, are not public.

PowerSecure, which employs more than 750 people, said in a public filing it sold IES because recent acquisitions have provided the company with advanced manufacturing capabilities and necessitated the elimination of duplication.

IES, launched 12 years ago, develops and makes LED-based lights, including street lights, landscape illumination and specialty lighting for other manufacturers and for retailers.
