Pedestrian critically hurt by car on Creedmoor Road

— A Raleigh man was seriously injured Thursday morning when he was struck by a car on Creedmoor Road at the intersection with West Millbrook Road.

Stephen Robert Hayden of nearby Hedgemoor Drive was in the northbound lanes of Creedmoor shortly after 7 a.m. when he was hit by a car that had a green light, according to a Raleigh police report.

Police did not cite the driver of the car, who was going the posted speed limit, 45 mph, when she struck Hayden, according to the report.

Hayden, 65, was taken to WakeMed Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
