Elon, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - New Elon football head coach Rich Skrosky announced the first seven members of his coaching staff on Thursday, including Jerry Petercuskie as the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Petercuskie, a 38-year coaching veteran, has spent the last six seasons at North Carolina State as the special teams coach and recruiting coordinator.

Scott Browne is the only returning coach on Skrosky's new staff. He will continue to be Elon's recruiting coordinator and running backs coach.

The other new assistant coaches are Terry Lantz (defensive backs), Carlton Hall (defensive line), Scott Van Zile (quarterbacks), Billy Riebock (wide receivers) and Cris Reisert (tight ends).

Skrosky plans to hire two more assistant coaches, including the offensive coordinator.

Elon finished 2-10 last year in its final season in the Southern Conference. This year, the Phoenix will join CAA Football.
