A bargain has become the perfect spot for a candlelight supper on the screen porch for the Nelsons.

The screened porch on our house is nothing fancy, but we use it often when the weather is right. A few years ago, we found this wrought-iron bistro set at Lowe’s for about $100. The table is bar height, and I need a footstool when I sit in the chairs. The light oak stool, on the right, is made of wood reclaimed from a barn. A candle in the pottery lantern makes perfect light for an evening meal.
