Flushing, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The New York Mets signed pitcher John Lannan to a minor league contract Saturday, with the agreement including an invitation to the team's spring training camp.

Lannan, a Long Island native, spent last season with Philadelphia and went 3-6 with a 5.33 earned run average over 14 starts with the Phillies. The left- hander did not pitch after Aug. 14 due to a left knee injury and also missed a portion of the campaign with a strained quadriceps.

A 10-game winner with Washington in 2011, Lannan has compiled a 45-58 record with a 4.12 ERA over 148 career starts with the Nationals and Phillies.
