Recap: New Mexico vs. Boise State

Albuquerque, NM (SportsNetwork.com) - Hugh Greenwood scored a game-high 20 points to lift the New Mexico Lobos to an 84-75 victory over the Boise State Broncos in Mountain West Conference action from the Pit.

Kendall Williams added 18 points and nine assists for New Mexico (14-4, 5-1 MWC), which has won seven of its last eight. Cameron Bairstow tacked on 17 points and Alex Kirk finished with 15 points and five blocks.

Derrick Marks netted 19 points and Ryan Watkins had an impressive night, with 15 points and 22 rebounds for Boise State (13-6, 3-3). Nick Duncan tallied 16 points and Mikey Thompson chipped in 11 off the bench.

The Lobos, who never trailed in the contest, shot 51.9 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 5-of-9 showing from beyond the arc. The Broncos only netted 27.8 percent from the field in the period and trailed 40-27 at the break.

New Mexico closed out the victory by connecting on 63.6 percent from the field in the final 20 minutes.

Boise State was the superior team inside, outscoring the Lobos in the paint (28-22), while holding a 41-28 edge on the boards.
