Driver, pedestrian taken to hospital after two-car Raleigh crash

— A pedestrian and a driver were hospitalized Tuesday following a wreck on southbound Capital Boulevard at Old Buffalo Road, police said.

The driver of a second car involved in the crash was not hurt, police said.

The accident happened about 3:30 p.m. and closed all but one lane of Capital Boulevard heading into downtown for a few hours.

The identities and conditions of the people injured were not immediately available.

Accident investigators were looking at how the crash happened.
