NC Zoo to reopen Thursday after closing because of weather

— The North Carolina Zoo will reopen on Thursday after closing Wednesday because of cold, windy conditions and icy accumulations.

The zoo will resume its regular winter operating hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The animals in most African outdoor exhibits, however, will remain off exhibit until temperatures reach 45 degrees Fahrenheit. Animals in North American exhibits and those in indoor habitats in both the African and North American regions will be available for viewing.
