Indians sign Aardsma to minor league deal

Cleveland, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Cleveland Indians signed relief pitcher David Aardsma to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training on Thursday.

Aardsma went 2-2 with a 4.31 ERA in 43 appearances with the New York Mets last season.

The 32-year-old right-hander has a 15-17 record with a 4.23 ERA and 69 saves over 298 career appearances with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Boston Red Sox, Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees and New York Mets.
