Durham police arrest one of three men sought in burglary

From staff reportsJanuary 27, 2014

— Police have arrested one of three men they were seeking after a home burglary was captured on a surveillance camera.

De’rese Damon Anderson, 23, of Durham was taken into custody Sunday, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said.

Police were still seeking Quadele McCoy, 22, of Durham, whom they named in an arrest warrant last week, and a third man who was seen in the burglary video but who has not been identified yet.

The break-in happened at a home in the city’s Five Oaks neighborhood last Wednesday.

Police said the three escaped with electronics, firearms and ammunition.

Police distributed photos and a link to a video of the trio.

Anderson is the man seen in a red hoodie, Michael said.

Anderson was charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking in, felony conspiracy and injury to real property and was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail at the Durham County Jail.

Michael said McCoy had outstanding warrants charging him in other break-ins.
