What to Watch on Wednesday: You can’t resist the ‘Funky Monkeys’

Nature: The Funkiest Monkeys (8pm, UNC-TV) - The plight of the crested black macaque, a feisty monkey found on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, is examined by filmmaker Colin Stafford-Johnson, who became interested in them 25 years ago. The film also examines why the number of monkeys has dropped through the years.

Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2014 (8pm, CBS) - Boomer Esiason and Sarah Shahi host a look at some of the best commercials to air during past Super Bowls, with viewers choosing the top ad. Also included, a preview of 2014 commercials. (Yes, they’ve figured out a way to get you watch a whole program of advertising!)

Miley Cyrus Unplugged (9pm, MTV) - Miley Cyrus performs an acoustic set for MTV.

Hawking (10pm, UNC-TV) - A documentary chronicling the life and career of the world’s most influential living scientist, Stephen Hawking. The film has contributions from Hawking himself, plus a host of interviewees with unique perspectives on the professor’s journey from childhood to icon.

American Horror Story: Coven (10pm, FX) - A new Supreme (not the singing kind) rises in tonight’s Season 3 finale.

Nashville (10pm, ABC) - Jeff expects an apology from Juliette, but he doesn’t get one. Also, a determined Teddy wants to expose Lamar’s role in Peggy’s death.
