'Politichick' to help Chris Malone raise campaign cash

Posted by John Frank on January 31, 2014

It’s the time of the year when state legislative candidates begin to launch their re-election bids. And the announcement is typically matched to a fundraiser.

Wake Forest Republican Chris Malone is among them and he’s bringing a special guest: Ann-Marie Murrell of PolitiChicks.

The conservative pundit is expected to attend and talk about “topics that are important to all of us Republicans” at Malone’s kick-off fundraiser. Murrell, a Texas native who lives in Los Angeles, runs a blog and is a frequent commentator on Hollywood and politics, according to her website. She is a former Democrat who turned Republican on 9/11 and now aligns with the tea party.

For his part, Malone will lay out campaign strategy and answer questions at the Thursday event in Raleigh, according to an invitation.

The hosts are expected to give $5,000 and sponsors $3,000. A single ticket is $150.
