Jeff Albright: No free lunches for takers

February 3, 2014

I want to be the first to send well-done congratulations to a school district in the state of Utah – a red state and a state that believes there is no free lunch (“Parents vent over lunch debacle,” Feb. 1 news article).

What better way can a child be taught not to be a taker in life than to take his lunch away from him in front of his peers and throw the food in the trash.

I will never comprehend just how much embarrassment these kids went through. I am sure they will grow up and understand takers will not get free lunches and become strong tea party Republicans.
