  • Aldi shopping tips:

    Aldi does not accept coupons or provide bags. Bring your own reusable bags and a quarter to rent a cart. Your coin will be returned when you return the cart to the corral near the front door.

Aldi stores in the Triangle have great deals this week on produce, including mango, blackberries, strawberries and grapefruit. Chicken breasts are also on sale for just $1.59 per pound.

This week's top deals:

Mangoes: 59 cents each. Good deal.

Blackberries: $1.19 for 6-oz. package. Excellent price.

Strawberries: $1.19 for 1-lb. package. Very good price.

Green or red grapes: $1.19 per pound. (Sold in 2-lb. package) A decent price, though I typically won’t pay more than 99 cents per pound unless it’s a special occasion.

Grapefruit: $1.79 for 5-lb. bag. That’s 36 cents per pound. Nice deal!

Roses (6 stems): $3.99!

Wednesday meat special:

Chicken breasts: $1.59 per pound in family pack. Terrific deal.

Filet of beef, garlic peppercorn: $5.99 per pound.
