All About Beer Magazine’s annual World Beer Festival in Raleigh is scheduled for April 5. Tickets went on sale last week.

This is the ninth year the event will be held at Moore Square Park in downtown Raleigh. There are two tasting sessions: noon-4 p.m. and 6-10 p.m.

This year’s festival includes an “Art of Beer Experience,” with ingredient samplings from Farm Boy Farms, a Chatham County farm that grows barley, wheat and hops, as well as homebrewing demonstrations, food and beer pairings and a replica of a working commercial brewery.

Tickets cost $45 and include a tasting glass and unlimited 2-ounce tastings from more than 250 beers. The $90 VIP tickets offer access to a private, air-conditioned hospitality area, a traveling beer dinner and a bonus selection of rare beers not available to the general public.

Tickets can be purchased at worldbeerfestival.com.
