Here is a list of Valentine’s Day offerings across the Triangle (updated at 1 p.m. Feb. 6.):

La Residence in Chapel Hill

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, the Chapel Hill restaurant is offering a special menu on Valentine’s night.

A four-course meal costs $49 with seatings from 5:30-6:15 p.m. or 8:45-9:30 p.m. It costs $59 for reservations from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

The menu has various options. All meals start with Champagne and an amuse bouche. An example of a four-course meal from the menu could include lobster bisque, Caesar salad, filet mignon with potatoes, melted leeks, asparagus and a Szechuan demi-glace, and for dessert, butterscotch chai creme brulee.

If you don’t want to venture out on Valentine’s night but still want to treat your sweetheart, Amanda Fisher of the Blakemere Company is offering a special Sweetheart Tea Party at La Residence in Chapel Hill this Sunday and next.

The event is 3-4:30 p.m. Sunday and Feb. 16. The cost is $28.

Taste Carolina Food Tours

Weathervane Restaurant at Southern Season

Iris at the N.C. Museum of Art

Videri Chocolate Factory

If you are dining in downtown Raleigh on Valentine’s Day, you can go over to Videri Chocolate Factory for a complimentary glass of Champagne and peruse their chocolates for purchase. The store will be open until 11 p.m. Info: viderichocolatefactory.com

Beyu Caffe

Parker and Otis

If you can’t go out with your sweetheart but need to bring home a treat, I got three recommendations from Jennings Brody, owner of Durham’s Parker & Otis:

•  Lambrecht Gourmet Toffee. (I tasted the Southern Pecan flavor and it was amazing.) A four-ounce box costs $9.99.

•  Big Picture Farm goat milk caramels, a five-ounce box costs $24.99.

•  Cacao Atlanta Coffee Co. products will be available for the first time in the Triangle at Parker and Otis. Brody expects the shipment to arrive by Friday.

The French bakery in Cary is offering a special dinner on Feb. 14 and 15. They are offering seatings at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Feb. 14 and at 7 p.m. on Feb. 15.

Taste the Love

Taste the Event is partnering with Chef Ricky Moore of Saltbox Seafood Joint in Durham to cook up a Valentine’s Day cooking class and meal called Taste the Love. The 7 p.m. dinner on Valentine’s Day will be held at The Kitchen Specialist in Durham. It costs $85 per person or $75 when buying two or more tickets.
