Marvin Maddox: Barber working for poor

I noted the comments concerning Rev. William Barber in the Feb. 2 letter “Sowing division.” I’m a grumpy old white guy who grew up in rural Georgia, and I remember the 1950s.

I find Barber to be a champion of the poor and disadvantaged. Doesn’t that phrase also describe Jesus? We need more pastors like Barber.
