Duke University police search for man accused of touching student

— Duke University police are searching for a man accused of inappropriately touching a female student on the school’s West Campus on Thursday afternoon.

Michael J. Andrews, 31, is accused of sexually assaulting a woman as she walked on an outdoor stairway, according to university officials.

A warrant taken out by Duke University Police Department charges Andrews, of Palestine, Ind., with one count of misdemeanor sexual battery.

Police believe Andrews to be driving a blue Chevy minivan with Indiana tags 205-LGV.

School officials sent out a campus-wide email about the crime, including a photo of the suspect. Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to call the university police at 919-684-2444.
