Raleigh man accused of trafficking in cocaine and MDMA, having counterfeit money

— A city man was being held on $850,000 bail Monday to face charges of trafficking in cocaine and MDMA and of having a pound of marijuana and 39 counterfeit $20 bills.

Larry Demetric Sanders, 32, of 1708 Tilbrook Court was taken into custody Friday night and charged early Saturday, records show.

Police said in arrest warrants that he had 36.75 grams of cocaine and that they found another 39.5 grams and 106 MDMA pills and a pound of marijuana.

They also accused Sanders of keeping the house on Tilbrook Court as a place to keep and sell drugs, and they charged that he had 39 copies of a $20 bill.

Altogether, Sanders was charged with three counts of trafficking in cocaine, one count of trafficking in MDMA, possession of marijuana with intent to sell or distribute it and possession of more than five counterfeit instruments.

Sanders was scheduled to appear before a judge Monday afternoon.
