Police charge Durham couple with abusing their 3-month-old son

— Police charged a man and woman with felony abuse of their three-month-old son last week and said Monday that they were still looking for the man.

Police were looking for Jesse Antwon Lane, 24, of Windlestraw Drive in Durham, police spokeswoman Kammie Michael said Monday. Police have warrants charging him with two felony counts of child abuse.

Lane’s girlfriend, Aamber Wunique Swann, 23, who also lives at Windlestraw Drive, has been charged with one count each of felony child abuse-serious bodily injury and neglect/abuse-serious physical injury, Michael said.

Police arrested Swann on Friday. She remained in the Durham County jail Monday under $750,000 bail.

Investigators charged the couple last week after their son was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The baby remains hospitalized.
