Raleigh man charged with first-degree arson

— A 23-year-old man is accused of attempting to burn an occupied home.

Jordon Lee Harrington, of 5422 Taslewood Road in Raleigh, was arrested Monday and charged with first-degree arson.

Harrington is accused of maliciously setting fire to a home at 905 South East Street, just south of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The single-story home is 95 years old.

The crime occurred on August 17, according to an arrest warrant. Harrington was held at the Wake County Detention Center on $250,000 bail.
