Raleigh man accused of beating 'handicapped person' with pistol

— A Raleigh man is accused of beating a “handicapped person” with a pistol, threatening to kill the person and engaging in a sexual offense with the person, according to arrest warrants.

Jesse Leenzo Cedeno, 31, is accused of throwing the person to the floor, repeatedly striking him or her in the head with a black semi-automatic pistol, and threatening to kill the reported victim, an arrest warrant states. The assault occurred on Oct. 31, according to an arrest warrant.

Cedeno also is accused of engaging in an undisclosed felony sex act with the person on Oct. 5 and 6, according to an arrest warrant.

The reported victim is not described in the arrest warrants, beyond his or her initials and the fact that he or she was “mentally disabled and physically helpless.”

Cedeno, of 4910-E Arcadian Drive, was charged Monday with a second-degree sexual offense, assault on a handicapped person and first-degree kidnapping.

Cedeno was held at the Wake County Detention Center under $800,000 bail, according to county records.
