Mentally disabled woman was victim in prostitution scheme, police charge

— Police charged a woman Monday night with promoting prostitution by setting up a mentally disabled woman in a hotel room and advertising sex with her on the Internet.

An arrest warrant charging Pinkie Latina Princess, 34, of 2710-A Wolf Village Way with promoting prostitution by taking the 20-year-old woman to the City Studios Inn and Suites on Capital Boulevard, “posting ads on the Internet for her soliciting acts of [the] commercial sex trade ... and taking a portion of the profits.”

The incident happened Sunday and Monday, police charged.

The arrest warrant said, “The victim has been adjudicated as an incompetent adult by Wake County Human Services.”

Princess was arrested Monday night after questioning at police headquarters and was booked into the Wake County Detention Center about 3 a.m. Tuesday, records showed.

She was being held in lieu of $5,000 bail for a court appearance Tuesday.
