The state legislature’s committee that will be launched to tally all the things that Republicans think are wrong with the federal health-care law is shaping up.

On Wednesday, Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger appointed two co-chairs to represent the Senate on the Joint Legislative Study Committee on the Affordable Care Act. Sen. Fletcher Hartsell, a Republican from Concord, and Sen. David Curtis, a Republican from Denver were named.

Berger, a Republican from Eden, issued a statement saying the committee will hear from citizens, businesses, health-care providers and state government officials.

The committee will have its first meeting in the coming weeks, according to Berger and House Speaker Thom Tillis.
