Mark G. Rodin: Voller’s bad choice

February 14, 2014

Regarding the Feb. 11 news article “Chavis could next lead Dems”: How foolish can one be? Randy Voller’s apparent decision to name Benjamin Chavis as executive director of the North Carolina Democratic Party plays right into the strategy of North Carolina Republicans by increasing the already heightened fears of rural white and conservative church-attending voters that they are being overrun and excluded from government decisions, causing instant disaster at the polls for the Democrats.

If I were on the executive committee of the Democratic Party, I’d get rid of Voller immediately.
