Students ace Trimathlon contest

Six students from the Triangle Math and Science Academy earned perfect scores in the TriMathlon competition.

Sebastian Burke, Sukreth Velminetti, Nitya Nalamathu, Ruhie Rapolu, Mihika Gottimukkala and Nitin Chintapalli were among 57 students nationwide to achieve a perfect score.

The TriMathlon, sponsored by Mathnasium, aims to generate excitement about math through three math-themed challenges. Triangle Math and Science Academy in Cary, which had 20 students participating in the Trimathlon, won $868 in the competition.
