Wake school bus in collision, but no injuries to 15 students aboard

— A school bus carrying 15 students was involved in an accident in a Raleigh subdivision Wednesday morning, but no injuries were reported.

School officials were sending a bus to pick up the students after the bus and a van collided at Easthampton Drive and Knightsbridge Way, off New Hope Road, police said.

It was not immediately known which school the students were going to.

Earlier Wednesday, a bus with no students on it skidded on wet pavement on Rock Quarry Road near Barwell Road during heavy rain and wound up sideways on Rock Quarry, police said.

The bus was partially in a ditch beside the road, and the driver could not move it. they said.

There were no injuries in that incident.
