Police: Raleigh man had 43 pounds of weed in a storage unit

— A Raleigh man is accused of keeping about 43 pounds of marijuana in a storage unit in Southern Pines. The Southern Pines Police Department arrested Son Manh Ngo, 30, on Thursday after seizing the drug from a storage facility on Pinehurst Avenue, the department announced.

Police also seized $806 in cash from Ngo upon his arrest, according to the department. He is charged with trafficking in marijuana, possession of the drug with intent to sell or deliver, maintaining a vehicle or dwelling place for the keeping of a controlled substance and felony marijuana possession.

Ngo was held Friday at the Moore County Detention Center on $200,000 bail, with a hearing scheduled March 16 in Moore County District Court, according to the police department.
