Edmund Klemmer: An 'overwhelming' gerrymander

Claude Pope said in the Feb. 9 news story “Thousands march on Raleigh” that his party’s “overwhelming victory” gave the party control of the General Assembly. He did not tell us that more than half the voters in North Carolina voted for Democratic representation. The Republicans were very successful in gerrymandering N.C. and thus defeating the will of the people.
