Recap: Auburn vs. Vanderbilt

Auburn, AL (SportsNetwork.com) - Dai-Jon Parker scored a career-high 21 points, shooting 5-of-9 behind the 3-point line, as the Vanderbilt Commodores squeezed out a 67-59 win over the Auburn Tigers in SEC play at Auburn Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Commodores (15-11, 7-7 SEC), as they won for the second time in three tries, were Damian Jones and Luke Kornet with 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Auburn (12-13, 4-10) was paced by Chris Denson and KT Harrell with 13 points apiece, while Ashaun Dixon-Tatum and Allen Payne each registered 11 points and nine rebounds as the team bowed for the fourth time in five outings.

Vandy had just 11 points through the first 12 minutes of the contest and ended up shooting only 1-of-8 behind the 3-point line in the frame, yet trailed by just seven at the break, 32-25.

In the second half Vanderbilt went on the attack from the perimeter, converting a staggering 10-of-18 chances, compared to only 2-of-15 for the Tigers as the hosts rolled over in the eight-point setback.

Auburn, who made just 4-of-24 on the outside, came out on the losing end despite leading by as many as 16 in the first half.
