Mrs. Eric Fisher

Susan Catherine Comer and Eric Lewis Fisher were united in marriage on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at seven o’clock in the evening at the Angus Barn Pavilion in Raleigh, North Carolina. Rev. Matthew Ashburn, friend of the bride, and Dr. Warren Fisher, uncle of the groom, officiated. Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception also at the Angus Barn Pavilion.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Wilson Sidney Comer, Jr. of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. John L. Davis of Sulligent, Alabama and the late Mr. And Mrs. Wilson S. Comer Sr. of Oxford , NC.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fisher of Allenwood, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson of Mrs. Hattie Fisher and the late Mr. Warren C. Fisher, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Bickhart.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Cendahl Cornellio-Alter served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Ann Gulick, Suzanna Neeley Bridges, Kyla Ferris McHale, Julia Elizabeth Teague, and Sidney Elizabeth Keyes, cousin of the bride. Russell Lee Shanahan served as best man. Groomsmen were Luke Anthony Baker, Jonathan Peter Corish, John Gary Fields, Aaron Joshua Grant, and Ryan Paul Koseski. Flower girls were Bailey and Flannery Lankford, nieces of the bride, and ring bearers were James and Jacob Keifer, nephews of the groom. Ushers were Chad David Donikowski and Daniel Warren Fisher, cousin of the groom. Greeters were Ellen Bishop Thompson and Elizabeth Lee Kirby. The bride’s brother, Lewis Lankford, sang “First day of My Life” by Bright Eyes during the ceremony. The readers were Amanda Leigh Brocato, cousin of the bride, and Laurie Kay Beck, cousin of the groom. The evening before, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Raleigh Country Club. After the rehearsal dinner, a cocktail party was hosted by cousins of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Thom Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Williams.

The bride graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Music. She earned a Masters in Arts Education from New York University and Masters in Special Education from George Mason University. She was presented by the Terpsichorean Club at the 2002 North Carolina Debutante Ball in Raleigh, NC. Presently, she is the Arts Education Specialist for Arlington Public School in Arlington, Virginia.

The groom graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics. Presently, he is finishing his Masters in Information Security and Forensics at Penn State University. He works as a research and development engineer for Penn State University at their division in Washington, DC.

After a honeymoon trip to the Riviera Maya, Susan and Eric are residing in Arlington, Virginia.
