Garner teen charged with armed robbery in theft of basketball shoes

— A Garner teen was being held at the Wake County Jail in lieu $250,000 bail Wednesday after police accused him of using a handgun to rob someone of a $200 pair of basketball shoes.

Police have charged Ravon Harrington, 17, of 110 Stonecutter Court, with one felony count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to arrest warrants filed Wednesday afternoon at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.

Police say the crime occurred on Feb. 23. Investigators obtained warrants for Harrington’s arrest on Tuesday, court records show.

According to the warrants, Harrington used a silver-colored handgun to rob a Raleigh resident of his Nike Kobe 7 Prelude, size 10 and a half, basketball shoes, court records show.
