Rebel Stakes coming up for Honor Code

The Sports NetworkMarch 6, 2014

Hot Springs, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Reigning Kentucky Derby-winning trainer Shug McGaughey has Honor Code pointed toward Oaklawn Park's Rebel Stakes on Saturday, March 15.

"It looks that way," McGaughey said. "So far everything looks good. He worked real good the other day and we'll work him again on Sunday. The plane goes out there on the 13th so we've got plenty of time.

"He's a good looking horse, that's for sure."

Owned by Lane's End Racing and Dell Ridge Farm, Honor Code won the Remsen Stakes last year after breaking his maiden on Aug. 31.

McGaughey won last year's Run for the Roses with Orb.
