Brookshire McDonald: Living advocate for mammograms

March 7, 2014

In response to the Feb. 27 Point of View “Clarity, not confusion: Mammograms save lives”: I am a two-time breast cancer survivor. My cancers were diagnosed in separate breasts two years apart, and each was found on a mammogram. I have survived 10 years since the right breast diagnosis and eight years since the left.

It gave me goose bumps to think I might not have been here to write this had it not been for mammograms. I am a living advocate for them!
