Asheville, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - Lee Skinner finished with 15 points, 12 rebounds and five assists as the Wofford Terriers took down the Georgia Southern Eagles 71-57 in the semifinals of the Southern Conference Tournament at U.S. Cellular Center.
Wofford (19-12) also got 14 points for Karl Cochran, 12 from Eric Garcia, 11 from Spencer Collins and 10 more from CJ Neumann. The third-seeded Terriers will face Western Carolina in Monday's championship game.
Brian Holmes and Tre Bussey each had 14 points for the seventh-seeded Eagles (15-19).
Wofford was in control from the beginning. The Terriers connected on 43.3 percent from the field and held Georgia Southern to seven field goals in the first half. They led 33-20 at the break.
The Eagles had more success in the second period, when they shot 45.2 percent from the field, but it was not enough to catch Wofford, which turned in a 56 percent shooting effort over the final 20 minutes.
Wofford outscored Georgia Southern 13-2 on the fast break and never trailed in the contest.
