Brad Bradshaw: Spill not political

March 10, 2014

The coal ash spill happened just over a month ago, and already there is a political commercial on TV bashing Gov. Pat McCrory. A fake hand covered in coal ash. Really?

I’m no fan of this administration, but these coal ash ponds have been around for years. This is not a Republican or a Democratic issue. It is our issue.

This commercial, by the Natural Resources Defense Council, is obviously backed by the Democratic Party. To politicize this problem only makes Democrats look like cheap opportunists. I expected better from my party.
