Scout adds bridge to trail

Connor Leech of Durham has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Connor led the planning and construction of a 24-foot bridge for the Mountains-to-Sea Trail at the Occoneechee Speedway Park in Hillsborough.

Connor, the son of Jennifer and Andrew Leech, is a junior at Durham Academy and a member of Troop 39 in Chapel Hill.
