Winners, please look for your gift cards in the mail. They are being sent directly to you from the marketing firm for Old Chicago.

Enjoy your pizza.

For those who didn’t win, the grand opening events on Thursday, March 20, will provide another chance for free pizza. The first 76 customers in line at the restaurant at 140 W. Franklin St. before 11 a.m. will receive free pizza for a year. Folks will get a booklet filled with coupons for a free pizza each month for a year.

Other grand opening events:

At 10 a.m., there will be a basketball free-throw fundraiser for Farmer Foodshare, a nonprofit group connecting hungry families with local farming communities.

From 3 to 5 p.m., the restaurant will be offering craft beer and pizza pairings with a $2 donation to Farmer Foodshare.

Old Chicago, which opened its first place in 1976, serves salads, calzones, shareable appetizers and pizza with fresh dough made daily on the premises. Draft and bottled craft beer is served. The Chapel Hill store is the first in the Carolinas.
