You probably know Bob Garner from NC Weekend’s “House Special” segment but he has also written the books on N.C. Barbecue. His latest book is th ultimate authoritative reference to every aspect of North Carolina barbecue. Come hear him talk about his favorite NC restaurants, recipes, and useful tips. Ebenezer United Methodist Church Annual Pork BBQ

Garner United Methodist Church: Relay for Life

Garner United Methodist Church will host their annual barbecue chicken dinner to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The dinner will be held from 11 am until 7:30 pm in church’s Christian Life Center. Plates will be sold for $8 and include half of a chicken, green beans, potatoes, bread and dessert. Dinner & Auction Benefit for Deaf School Project

Wake Chapel Christian Church in Fuquay-Varina will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner and Auction to raise support for their mission project for the Caribbean Christian Center for the Deaf (cccdjamaica.org).
