Matchup to Watch
Kemba Walker vs. Deron Williams: Williams has had some huge scoring games in the past against the Bobcats. He’s been off his usual All-Star form this season, but still is big and dangerous at his position.
• Mason Plumlee has been starting at center while Kevin Garnett recovers from back spasms.
• The Nets clobbered the Bobcats in Brooklyn in the last game before All-Star break. That was the night coach Steve Clifford told his players their playing time would more directly reflect their performance.
• This is the last road game before a three-game homestand full of challenging opponents – Portland, Houston and Brooklyn.
• The Nets are 29th among 30 NBA teams in rebounding.
Did you know?
The Nets went old to chase a title and that mileage is reflected in injuries – they’ve already lost 130 player-games this season.
