    • The Kronos Quartet offers a program of new and recently commissioned works Saturday in Duke University’s Baldwin Auditorium. Selections include Philip Glass’ String Quartet No. 6 and pieces by Mizzy Mazzoli and Bryce Dessner, among others. Details at dukeperformances.duke.edu.

    • Triangle-based Vox Virorum Men’s Chorus and Women’s Voices Chorus have their first joint concert Sunday afternoon at Durham’s First Presbyterian Church, featuring selections by American composers. Details at womensvoiceschorus.org.

The Concert Singers of Cary join forces with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle this weekend for two performances of Arthur Honegger’s “Le Roi David,” his 1921 neo-classical oratorio about the life of the biblical David, from shepherd to ruler.
