Tell us: How do you keep from sitting at your desk all day?

From staff reportsMarch 24, 2014

It’s official. Multiple studies say those of us who work at desks (or sit most of the day, for whatever reason) are much more likely to have diseases or die from any cause than those who are active throughout the day. (And no, sitting all day and then working out like crazy at the beginning or end of the day doesn’t help that.)

If you’re a desk-dweller who has taken action to inject some movement into your workday, let us know how you did it. Maybe you do lunges by your desk every hour, or maybe you’ve installed a standing desk. Share your knowledge – we want to live!

Email bcain@newsobserver.com with your tips and we’ll share them with readers next week. If we use your suggestion in the paper, we’ll send you a small token of thanks. Now, get up and move around!
