From staff reportsMarch 25, 2014

— The Red Cross reports that a fire Tuesday night at an apartment building on North New Hope Road will affect several families.

Raleigh emergency officials couldn’t immediately provide detail on the fire.

A Red Cross spokeswoman said the fire happened at 4805 N. New Hope Road at Lexington on the Green apartments. The fire affected people in four apartments, and the building’s management is working to find long-term housing for people displaced by the fire, according to the Red Cross.

The Tuesday’s fire came a day after a blaze displaced people living in all 12 units of an apartment building on Peyton Street.
