RALEIGH — Two men face charges that they had sex with a 15-year-old girl in Raleigh on two days in January, and one is accused of having indecent pictures of her.
Alezia Tuemacq Mukoko, 23, was arrested Tuesday night at the 3233 Calumet Drive apartment of Mundadi Eric Kalonji.
About two hours later, police arrested Kalonji, 28, there.
In arrest warrants, police charged that both men had sex with the 15-year-old on Jan. 23 and 24.
Mukoko, who told authorities he lives at 5149 Julip Drive, a Knightdale address in unincorporated Wake County, is charged with three counts of statutory rape.
Kalonji is charged with two statutory rape counts and one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, with police saying he had photos of the girls private areas.
Kalonji was being held in lieu of $500,000 bail.
Mukoko was being held on $500,500 bail and was also charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession.
On behalf of federal immigration officials, the Wake County Sheriffs Office placed a 48-hour hold on the two men being released while they check the immigration status of the two, who are both Congolese natives.
Mikoko and Kalonji were both due in court Wednesday.
