    • Durham Savoyards’ annual Gilbert and Sullivan production this year is “The Sorcerer,” a comic mix-up of couples under a love potion’s spell. Performances through Sunday afternoon take place in Durham’s Carolina Theatre. Details at durhamsavoyards.org.

Bare Theatre has been a keeper of the flame for Shakespeare’s plays, having produced 17 of his works since 2001. The story of forbidden love and rebellion takes place in the third-floor open space in Durham’s Cordoba Center for the Arts at Golden Belt, in a minimalist production with a cast of nine. 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday (through Apr. 12). $12-$17. 919-322-8819 or baretheatre.org.
