The News & Observer high school rankings have new No. 1 teams in baseball and softball. Orange takes the top spot in baseball and South Granville moves up in softball.

Panther Creek remains No. 1 in girls’ soccer despite a tie against Holly Springs and Apex and Wakefield are Nos. 1 in boys’ lacrosse and girls’ lacrosse.
