The Canes, who lost forwards Jiri Tlusty and Andrei Loktionov to injuries in Monday’s game at Ottawa, on Tuesday recalled forward Chris Terry from the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) on an emergency basis.

Terry, 24, has played in eight NHL games with Carolina this season, averaging 11:38 of ice time per game. He is second among Charlotte skaters this season in goals (28), power-play goals (14) and points (66) and first in assists (38) in 63 games.

The Canes play the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday in the second game of the back-to-back.
